At Arts & Science, we take pride in our legacy of innovation and discovery that has changed the way we think about the world.Your opportunityUnder the direction of the Finance Manager and working closely with HRIS Assistant, the TA Support Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for departmental academic recruitment and assignments (teaching assistants, course instructors, sessional lecturers, post‑doctoral fellows), and for student awards.Note: this is a term position until May 2028.Your responsibilities will includeCoordinating the recruitment of teaching assistants, course instructors, sessional lecturers and/or stipend instructorsVerifying that provisions of applicable collective agreements and/or policies are applied appropriatelyCollecting supporting documentation required for payroll and/or HRIS processingReceiving and passing on evaluation materials for reviewResponding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriateEntering HR and payroll information into HRIS systemCollating and organising data for various reportsEssential QualificationsAdvanced College Diploma (3 years)
