Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our campus facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the chapel, locker room, and dining hall, ensuring that these spaces remain welcoming, sanitary, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. Hours of Work noon - 8pm

Key Responsibilities

Chapel

- Clean and dust pews, furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness of entrances, windows, and common areas.
- Prepare the space for special events and services when needed.

Locker Room

- Clean and sanitize locker area
- Replenish supplies.
- Empty waste and recycling containers.
- Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards promptly.

Dining Hall

- Sweep, mop, and maintain dining hall floors.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, serving areas, and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or functions.

General Duties





- Perform routine cleaning and custodial tasks according to established schedules.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with seasonal cleaning projects as assigned.
- Report repairs, maintenance needs, and inventory shortages.
- Maintain a skilled and courteous demeanor while working in occupied spaces.

Qualifications

- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is an asset.
