This role involves overseeing daily packaging operations including primary and secondary packaging, POP displays, and pallet displays, with a focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associatesOrganize and lead focus on improved productivity by improving processes and associate work efficiencyApply lean manufacturing principles to identify areas for increased efficiencyDeliver associate orientation, training, performance reviews, and developmentParticipate in management of turnover among hourly staffMaximize quality and productivity by understanding job standards and evaluating performance variancesPlan, supervise, and prioritize daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtimeEnsure shift/daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplishedCollaborate with regional sites on safety, labour sharing,



and best practice initiativesTroubleshoot problems during the production processCommunicate work task Standard Operating Procedures and convey key information during pre-shift meetingsExecute daily customer or vendor contract requirements and identify accessorial activityEnsure inventory integrity through timely and accurate receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory managementParticipate in the collection of performance measurementsRequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred1+ years' industry experience in primary packaging, secondary packaging, custom packaging, manufacturing, or related business and/or operations, requiredAnalytical mindset and strong problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacy; experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook is highly beneficialAbility to work collaboratively across shifts, departments, and peersSalary range: $50,000 - $77,000 per year (national range).
