Facility Attendant - Panorama Facilities and OperationsBusiness Unit:Parks Recreation and Environmental ServicesJob Type:Auxiliary as and when neededPay Grade:CAN/05/02/J04Rate of Pay:$29.16 - $31.41 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefitsHours of Work:Varies - as and when needed, including days, evenings and weekendsThis position performs basic maintenance and routine cleaning and custodial duties of a public recreation facility.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine building cleaning functions including cleaning public areas and replenishing supplies.Assists with ensuring building, vehicles and equipment are secure.Performs basic grounds maintenance tasks as directed.Assist with set up for special events, as directed.Follows all policies, procedures, and standards of the CRD.Performs other related duties as required.Additional InformationAbility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet operational needs.Key Skills & AbilitiesExcellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required.Basic knowledge of building maintenance and building cleaning.Knowledge of materials,



tools and equipment used in janitorial and building maintenance work, including the secure handling of chemicals, corrosive materials and pressurized gases.Knowledge and understanding of WorkSafeBC practices/protocols, Workers' Compensation Act and OHandS Regulations and other relevant safety statutes.Sufficient physical strength and stamina to perform the required duties.Ability to work a variety of shift schedules as required.QualificationsHigh School GraduationA minimum of six months' directly related experienceCertificationsWHMIS CertificationValid BC Driver's LicenceAcceptable criminal record check.
