We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Leader to guide and inspire our Canadian broker dealer client communications tax and statement processing software engineering team, driving strategic initiatives to design, build, and deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Provide technical and strategic leadership to software engineering teams.Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with business and product priorities.Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance engineering culture.Oversee the development and maintenance of existing in-house applications, and/or integrate third party applications.Monitor application performance, support service restoration during incidents as required, identify improvement opportunities, and implement necessary enhancements.Support operations teams during critical periods, including tax processing season and monthly client statement generation.Ensure customer‐centric service delivery.Leadership and Management Lead, inspire, and manage a team of software engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.Collaborate with cross‐functional teams, including product management, client services, operations, and global stakeholders to align technology goals with business objectives.Mentor and develop engineering leaders to facilitate career growth and succession planning.Identify and address resource gaps, make strategic hiring decisions and leverage external partners as needed.Drive personnel management, performance, and professional development.Engineering Vision,



Strategy & Delivery Drive the adoption of an engineering strategy and technology roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.Oversee and guide the integration of legacy mainframe applications with cloud platforms and products in compliance with regulatory requirements.Ensure engineering best practices, code quality, performance, and maintainability.Ensure delivery of high‐quality software products by establishing and maintaining rigorous testing, performance monitoring, and quality assurance processes.Drive projects from ideation and architecture designs through full production deployment.Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes; proactively identify opportunities for adoption of best‐of‐breed tax processes.Promote automation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and team capabilities.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize team efficiency, product quality, and delivery timelines.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to keep the engineering team at the cutting edge.Partner with product, client, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.Stay abreast of regulatory and industry changes from CRA, MRQ, IRS, and CIRO.Communicate progress, risks, and trade‐offs effectively to executives and stakeholders and act as a technical and strategic advisor to senior leadership.Qualifications Basic Skill Level Requirements Education:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.Proven experience leading large‐scale mainframe applications development initiative including integration with contemporary cloud platforms in highly regulated financial industries.Strong background in mainframe application 3GL language software development frameworks.Deep understanding of security, compliance, and risk management in financial systems.Successful track record of delivering end‐to‐end projects from inception through production.Demonstrated ability to implement processes and tools to drive software delivery quality improvements and enhance client satisfaction.Experience managing multiple teams in a fast‐paced and geographically diverse environment.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Extensive managerial experience overseeing teams with direct reports.Preferred Experience in technologies such as PLI, Cobol, IMS, DB2, CICS, API, Java, Python, DevOps/SRE and test automation frameworks.Experience transforming teams from waterfall and other SDLC frameworks to Agile.Passion for technology and business and continuous learning.Extensive development management experience in the Wealth Management application space is an asset.Experience with US or Canadian tax processing is preferred.Compensation Salary Range: CAD $150,000 – $180,000.EEO Statement Broadridge is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace ensuring that equal employment opportunities are provided to all individuals, regardless of race, colour, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, creed, age, disability, religious affiliation, or national origin or citizenship.#J-18808-Ljbffr
