This is a pivotal role designed for a strategic accountant who excels at managing complexity across multiple entities and thrives on elevating team performance.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including note disclosuresEnsure monthly consolidation adjustments and entries for QFG are correctly and timely madeUnderstand the credit facility agreement and maintain and report on required covenants and limitsAct as subject matter expert on IFRS and provide guidance on all technical accounting matters and prepare documentation on technical accounting rulesKeep on top of and ensure new accounting standards are correctly implemented across QFGAdvise on complex accounting matters across the groupAssist in the purchase accounting, valuation and integration of recent acquisitionsEnhance and manage customized financial reports in the company's accounting systemsAssist during annual financial audits or other regulatory audits as requiredWork with the FP&A team to provide analysis on major changes to the financial results where applicableActively look for ways to automate financial statement reportingOversee the Corporate AP team including the timely and correct processing of bills,



payments and expense reimbursementsRelease payments and ensure proper controls are in place and adhered toProactively look for ways to improve processes including the review and implementation of AI related strategiesReview expense reimbursement tools currently in place and provide guidance on improvement opportunitiesManage the corporate credit card program and processesQualificationsChartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required7+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, with at least 3 years at a senior level. Experience in financial institutions is an assetStrong knowledge in IFRS is a must. Extensive experience in financial reporting and consolidationProven track record of lifting a team.
