About South East Mechanical

South East Mechanical (SEM) is a growing mechanical construction and service company specializing in HVAC, plumbing and commercial mechanical projects.

We’re also part of a growing group of companies in the same space, and we’re actively modernizing how we operate – from job costing and dispatch to reporting, automation, and AI integration.

We’re not looking for a corporate IT person. We’re looking for someone who understands AI, data systems, and how to make tools talk to each other – and want to apply that in a real-world business.

Who This Role is Perfect For

- Recent grad (or soon-to-be grad)
- Someone who enjoys working with AI tools, automation, and systems
- Someone curious, organized, and good at explaining tech in simple terms
- Someone who wants to build real systems – not just analyze theory

You do not need years of experience. You do need to be comfortable learning quickly and figuring things out. What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

You’ll help us modernize and streamline our companies by:

- Organizing and cleaning company data (jobs, invoices, job costing, service calls)
- Building dashboards and reports (Excel, Power BI, Notion, etc.)





Exploring ways to use AI for:
- Email drafting and admin efficiency
- Estimating support
- Workflow automation
- Reporting and analysis

Helping integrate systems like:
- BuildOps
- QuickBooks
- Microsoft 365
- Identifying manual processes and helping digitize them

What We’re Looking For:

- Comfortable working with AI tools (ChatGPT, automation platforms, etc.)
- Strong Excel or data skills
- Basic understanding of business systems
- Ability to think logically and solve problems
- Strong communication skills – you must be able to explain technical things clearly
- Willingness to work at least part time hours in-office

Construction industry experience is a bonus – not required Hours & Flexibility
