You are dedicated, naturally inquisitive and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

This role will be part of and a member of our Information Technology Enterprise Data Services Group. You will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, analysis, and implementation in a successful, and experienced team. You’ll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise with both modern and legacy data platforms to develop data ecosystems that will meet business requirements and align with Aviva’s enterprise architecture goals and standards.

What You'll Do

- Design, build and operationalize large scale enterprise data solutions in AWS and Snowflake
- Design and Develop ETL Pipeline to ingest data into Cloud from different data sources (Files, Mainframe, Relational Sources, NoSQL, Hadoop Etc.) using Python and DBT.
- Proficient in designing,



scheduling, and managing data workflows using Apache Airflow, including DAG creation, task orchestration, and monitoring pipeline performance.
- Work will also encompass crafting & developing solution designs for data acquisition/ingestion of multifaceted data sets (internal/external), data integrations & data warehouse/marts.
- Advocate importance of data catalogs, data governance and data quality practices.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- You are a self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced agile development environment.
- Outcome focused with strong decision making and critical thinking skills to challenge the status quo which impacts delivery pace and performance and striving for efficiencies.

What You'll Bring

- University degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience crafting solutions for Cloud, data lakes, data integrations, data warehouses/marts.
- Proficient in AWS, Snowflake, Python and DBT to design, implement, and optimize data quality solutions for our enterprise data management initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated workflows and system operations using Python and Apache Airflow, with a focus on streamlining processes and optimizing performance.
- Outstanding knowledge and experience in ETL/ELT development.
- Experience implementing Data Governance principles and efficiencies.




- Familiar with the Agile software development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Insurance knowledge is an asset - Ability to foundationally understand complex business process driving technical systems.

What You’ll Get

- The salary band for this position ranges from $115,000 to $135,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
