Childcare Supervisor Position Summary

Muenster Cooperative Childcare Center (MCCC) is seeking a dependable, organized, and enthusiastic Childcare Supervisor to join our team.

The Supervisor will work closely with the Executive Director to support the daily operation of the center, provide leadership and guidance to staff, and help ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for children and families.

The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who enjoys working directly with children and educators and is comfortable taking responsibility for the center when the Executive Director is unavailable.

Muenster Cooperative Childcare Center is a licensed childcare center located in Muenster, Saskatchewan. Our center provides care for children from infancy through preschool age and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow.

Duties & Responsibilities The Childcare Supervisor will:

- Provide daily leadership, support, and guidance to ECEs and other childcare staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained.
- Oversee daily classroom operations, routines, transitions, and programming.
- Support educators in creating developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
- Step into classrooms and provide direct childcare when required.
- Ensure staff follow center policies, procedures, Saskatchewan childcare licensing requirements, and health and safety practices.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Saskatchewan childcare licensing requirements and help ensure the center remains compliant with applicable requirements.
- Assist with staff orientation, training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills in the daily operation of the center.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and childcare team.
- Remain calm, professional,



and capable of making appropriate decisions in a busy childcare environment.
- Maintain a solid understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and professional workplace.
- Communicate professionally with parents and families and assist with addressing questions or concerns.
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are safe, clean, organized, and appropriately equipped.
- Assist with attendance records, incident reports, medication documentation, and other required childcare records.
- Support emergency procedures, fire drills, inspections, and general center safety.
- Assist the Executive Director with day-to-day operational needs.
- Act as the person in charge of the center when the Executive Director is absent.
- Respond appropriately to staff, child, or family concerns and report significant matters to the Executive Director.
- Perform other duties related to the successful operation of the childcare center as required.

Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator certification recognized in Saskatchewan.
- Education and training appropriate to the position and Saskatchewan childcare requirements.
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
- Supervisory, leadership, or team-lead experience preferred.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.

Our Supervisor should be comfortable leading a team while also being willing to jump into a classroom, help an educator, speak with a family, solve day-to-day problems, and help keep the center running smoothly.

The Supervisor will play an important role in building a positive workplace culture and supporting MCCC in providing excellent care to children and families.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
