Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries using proper lifting techniques to ensure safety and efficiency
- Help move products within the warehouse or delivery vehicle, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when certified and trained
- Support the delivery team in organizing and securing cargo for transport
- Communicate clearly with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or delivery area to promote safety standards
- Assist in performing safety checks on equipment like forklifts and pallets before use
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally during deliveries and addressing basic inquiries
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the work shift
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with moving goods is preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous (certification preferred)
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and customers
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed
