About the Position
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Dental Administrator to join our dental team in Calgary. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, professional, and comfortable working in a busy dental office environment.
The Dental Administrator will be responsible for providing an exceptional patient experience while supporting the clinic with scheduling, billing, insurance coordination, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Manage the clinic's daily schedule efficiently and minimize gaps.
- Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient records.
- Process payments and assist with billing and account inquiries.
- Submit and coordinate dental insurance claims and pre-determinations.
- Explain treatment costs, insurance coverage, and payment options to patients.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and insurance claims as required.
- Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
- Assist with general office administration and other duties as required.
- Support a positive, professional, and welcoming clinic environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous dental administration or dental reception experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, billing, and insurance procedures.
- Experience with dental practice management software is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable handling payments and discussing financial arrangements with patients.

Pay: $15.41-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
