Perform day-to-day general accounting operations or finance reporting operations activities

Gather manual and system-generated data to prepare, review, and post journal entries and required transactions

Prepare and review account reconciliations

Perform cost accounting, inter- and intra-segment allocations, tax accounting, and fixed asset accounting

Produce financial, regulatory, or management reporting for business lines, including data gathering, cleansing, and validation

Report for TDBG financial statements, including MD&A;, supplemental information, or certain capital reporting

Support stakeholders with reporting needs and requirements

Analyze and investigate financials

Execute existing process controls and implement new controls as needed

Deliver quality service and achieve SLA and KPI performance goals

Identify operational problems and elevate issues as required

Drive ongoing process improvements and operational excellence

Monitor emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements

Maintain process knowledge

Contribute to a positive team setting

Report to the Manager and work as part of the Accounting or Reporting Operations department

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field

Intent to return to school at the end of the work term

Financial acumen and strong orientation toward curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving

Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools

Understanding of finance and related processes

Understanding of financial and accounting standards applicable to financial institutions

Good analytical skills

Ability to assess risk and issues





Proficiency with productivity tools and end-user software such as MS Office suite

Good communication skills with colleagues, business partners, and external stakeholders

Ability to stay resilient under pressure and during change

Ability to work effectively in teams and with multiple partners

Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities

Sound judgment and decision-making abilities

Applications must include a transcript, cover letter of one letter-sized page or less, and resume of maximum two pages

Employees must reside in Canada

English is the primary language used in FinOps; cover letters and resumes must be submitted in English
