We are your trusted HR and Safety partner, for all Canadian companies.Citation Group has achieved strong growth through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, continually broadening our expertise, services, and reach to create a one-stop shop that supports businesses across the UK, Canada and Australia.The roleWe currently have a fantastic opportunity within our Finance team for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations.Finance & Accounting OperationsProcesses invoices, expenses, and journal entries accurately, ensuring financial records remain complete and up to date.Supports accounts payable activities, including invoice coding and payment preparation.Assists with reconciliations by preparing data and identifying discrepancies for review.Supports core accounting processes including accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities through accurate data preparation and administrative assistance.Reviews employee expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies and documentation requirements.Maintains organised financial records and updates data across finance systems.Assists the Finance team with documentation, record-keeping,
and basic reporting to ensure information is well-maintained and accessible.Payroll SupportContributes to payroll processing by preparing data and providing administrative coordination as required.Office & Operational SupportHelps support smooth office operations, including supplies management, vendor coordination, and day-to-day workplace needs.Provides logistical and administrative support for company activities, events, and internal initiatives.About youSkillsDetail-focused, ensuring work is complete, well-documented, and financially accurateHighly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistentlyConfident using financial systems, spreadsheets, and administrative tools, with a quick ability to learn new platformsStrong understanding of process adherence, with the ability to identify issues and escape discrepancies appropriatelyClear and professional communicator with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and deliveryProactive and dependable, taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervisionFlexible and adaptable, supporting both finance operations and wider office needs as requiredContributes to a positive workplace culture by supporting day-to-day operations and internal initiativesCommitted to continuous learning and developing knowledge of finance processes, systems, and best practicesInterested in emerging tools and improvements, including automation and AI, to enhance efficiency and accuracyExperience & QualificationsExperience supporting finance and/or administrative functions with strong attention to accuracy and reliable delivery.Experience working with financial systems, spreadsheets (including Excel), and administrative tools.Experience supporting accounts payable,
expense processing, and a working knowledge of debits and credits.Administrative coordination or office operations experience preferred.A relevant diploma or degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience required. Greater emphasis is placed on attention to detail, reliability, organisation, and the ability to follow established processes than formal credentials alone.Why choose us?Base Salary: The expected base salary range being offered to candidates for this role is $50,000 - $55,000 per annum.
