Position Overview

WP Development is seeking a Development Associate to join our growing real estate development team in Markham.

This is a hands-on, evolving role suited to someone who is entrepreneurial, and comfortable taking ownership of a wide range of responsibilities. The successful candidate will support our active development projects while also helping coordinate repairs and maintenance for a recently completed condominium project.

Responsibilities

- Support the development of active real estate projects
- Review project information and help identify practical solutions to issues
- Support in coordinating repairs and maintenance at a completed condominium project
- Maintain organized records of repairs, warranties and project correspondence




- Take on additional responsibilities as the role and company continue to grow

Qualifications

- 1-2+ years of experience in real estate development, construction, property management or a related field
- General knowledge of construction methods, building materials and common repair issues
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take initiative
- Solid organizational, communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to project sites
- Ability to work fully in person from our Markham office

Hiring Range:

$75,000-$90,000 per year
