DELS Equipment Services is proud to have served the GTA and surrounding areas for many years. We specialize in commercial/industrial trucking repairs, truck maintenance and truck specialty services. We also offer short haul trucking services between many locations across southern Ontario.
Over the years we have grown from a small service shop to a multi-mechanic full service establishment. We are NSM certified and are able to up-fit non-compliant vehicles with a compliant axle and SPIF technology. We continuously strive to better serve our existing, loyal customers through our competitive pricing, extensive truck fleet knowledge and trusted experience in the industry.

DELS Equipment Services is excited to have an opening for a new position offered at our shop in Maple, Ontario! We specialize in commercial/industrial trucking repairs, truck maintenance and truck specialty services. Our services include general service & maintenance, brake replacement/repairs, safety inspections, suspension work, tune-ups, trailer work and much, much more.
Additionally, we are NSM certified and able to up-fit non-compliant vehicles with a compliant axle and SPIF system technology.
We are looking for a full-time Licensed Mechanic or Apprentice to join our growing team. We offer competitive wages and group benefits. The successful candidate will be a hard working, motivated, problem solving individual who is experienced with hands-on mechanic work in a commercial diesel truck shop setting.
Requirements/Skills
- License or existing apprenticeship is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical equipment
- Strong experience with maintenance, inspection, diagnosis,
and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical troubleshooting along with preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair
- Experience with light and heavy duty trucks including Tri-axles, concrete mixers, dump trucks, trailers and construction equipment
- Experience working with Hydro Vac Trucks and Excavators is an asset
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Responsible for fleet preventative maintenance and services
- Regularly speak with suppliers for part orders, discuss issues with the customers and speaking with manufacturer tech support, if required
- Completion of service work sheets, vehicle inspection templates and Annual Safety Inspection templates, as applicable
- Able to perform maintenance related work as required
- Provide customer service, friendly customer interactions
- Perform on-site service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team setting
- Must have own tools
- Valid Ontario Driver's License with a Clean Abstract
- Team Player with positive communications skills
- Minimum 1 years of experience preferred
- Must be legal to work in Canada and fluent in the English language
Looking for candidates willing to start immediately Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
