Job OverviewThis role involves assembly operations including checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, trimming, and performing basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning. The position may also include handling tank car repairs such as brake tests, general running repairs, re‑qualification, jack railcars, confined space entry, and adherence to health and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble minor products or components at a workbench or conveyor line.Check, sort, package, label, paste, snip, tie, and trim components manually or by machine.Perform basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning.Assist in moving assemblies, machines, or cleaning floors.Execute tank car repair tasks: brake tests, general running repairs, re‑qualification, railcar jack, confined space entry.Adhere to health and safety standards,
including Responsible Care policy.Qualifications0–2 years of experience; works under closesupervision.Tank car repair experience.Successfully pass four‑position fillet weld test.WHMIS training and experience handling hazardous commodities.Strong attention to detail and excellent time management.Ability to work independently, strong initiative.Valid driver’s license.Preferred SkillsExperience with confined space entry.Knowledge of Responsible Care and health & safety regulations.Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $33.25 per hour.
