Summary
The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking a Director of Operations – Ontario, for an opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff to support Mark Carney and our Liberal team’s work to keep building Canada Strong. The National Field Program is a key pillar of the Liberal Party of Canada’s engagement and organizing strategy, as we work to keep Canada moving forward. At its core, the program is about growing our movement for positive change, by leading conversations and engagement with Canadians.
Reporting to the Senior Director of National Field, a Director of Operations is responsible for directing the operations of a regional office, managing a staff and maintaining a positive relationship with our team of caucus members and local teams throughout the region. As the Director of Operations, you are held accountable to specific targets and timelines related to fundraising, volunteer engagement, voter contact, and compliance. The success of the National Field Program, and this position, depends on you motivating a team of Field Organizers to support teams across the province.

What you’ll be doing
- Your primary responsibility is to manage a regional office and team, to hit achieve key deliverables in fundraising, engagement, voter contact, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide training, support, and management for local organizers,
riding associations, and volunteers.
- Organize different types of events, including the following: fundraising, engagement, campaign colleges, and conventions
- Maintain a budget and ensure all expenses are approved and fit within the budget.
- Build positive working relationships across the region and with related teams in Ottawa.
- Other duties as required.
You’ll need to have
- University degree or a combination of education, certification, and skilled work experience
- Solid judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
- Strong administrative & organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Proven multi-tasking skills
- Experience with liberalist is an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset
