Responsibilities

- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and surrounding surfaces
- Sort and organize clean items for proper storage or immediate use in food preparation and service areas
- Assist with basic food handling tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards




- Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
- Support team members by helping with light cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic environment

Skills

- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards in a food service setting
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is advantageous
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and hospitality goals
