Job Summary

Ayr Coach Lines, part of the Fortress Coach Partners group, a recognized leader in the Motorcoach transportation industry seeks dispatch personnel to join our team.

The Dispatcher is responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of drivers and equipment for conveyance of passengers. The role includes providing support in a fast paced, high call volume office setting and will assist in completing operational and data entry tasks as necessary in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Duties

- Coordinate and dispatch vehicles and drivers by reviewing client itineraries, communicating schedules and route information, and ensuring efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate fleet, driver, dispatch, and maintenance records while tracking vehicle locations, mechanical fitness, and operational performance.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, permits, accommodations, and other logistical requirements to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted service delivery.
- Support drivers by providing assistance during on-road issues, emergencies, and operational challenges.
- Process, verify, distribute,



and maintain dispatch documentation.
- Prepare operational reports and summarize performance, service, and fleet statistics for management review.
- Report safety, service, and operational incidents to management and assist in follow-up activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

- High school diploma or GED; industry experience is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and dispatch/communication systems.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure, manage competing priorities, and adapt to change.
- Knowledge of Canadian/U.S. Hours of Service regulations and geographic routing principles.
