Summary:

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily schedules of drivers and deliveries to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods. This role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and problem solving skills in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, or equipment to ensure timely and productive movement of goods across routes, based on customer requests, specifications, or delivery deadlines

Maximize daily asset utilization by ensuring all available units are efficiently dispatched and consistently achieve their assigned daily revenue/productivity targets

Track shipments and maintain up to date records of truck loads, delivery confirmations and transportation logs in real-time using GPS, TMS software, etc...

Maintain clear communication with drivers, customers, and management throughout delivery routes

Address and resolve delivery issues or delays as they arise

Monitor fleet availability, dispatching, and routing to optimize utilization, minimize transit delays, and reduce fuel costs

Proactively source and onboard new partners while building strong, long-term relationships

Strong proficiency with freight load boards, particularly Loadlink, with a proven ability to actively monitor the board, identify and secure profitable loads,



and keep all available trucks consistently booked without missing opportunities

Maintain accurate records of driver logs, fuel usage, routes, and other dispatch-related data

Ensure all transport activities adhere to applicable transportation regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety standards

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in dispatching within the logistics or transportation industry

Strong knowledge of Canadian & US transportation laws and regulations

Proficiency with dispatch and GPS tracking software/systems

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills

Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment

High school diploma or equivalent required
