Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help drive project success by managing equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment while contributing to large-scale infrastructure development.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machines with precision and safety in mind.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Assist in site preparation activities such as grading, paving, and land clearing to facilitate construction progress.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Transport heavy equipment between sites using commercial driving licenses when necessary.
- Support project managers by providing accurate equipment operation reports and documentation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and others.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drills in a construction setting.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment between sites.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar brands is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform construction tasks involving grading, paving, and site preparation.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Prior experience working on infrastructure or large-scale construction projects is a plus.
