Program Support, Impact Speaker & EngagementRequisition Number: PROGR001207Full‑TimeLocationsShowing 1 locationUnited Way of the Alberta Capital RegionEdmonton, AB T5P3Y3, CANDescriptionAs part of our energetic and talented Customer Care team, you will support the administration, coordination, and delivery of United Way’s Impact Speaker Program, while also supporting Days of Caring and other Facilitated Engagement activities during the busy campaign season. These programs help strengthen community engagement, build understanding of United Way’s impact, and create meaningful experiences that support workplace campaigns, donor engagement, volunteerism, and community impact. This role works collaboratively with internal teams, volunteers, workplace and community stakeholders and is responsible for volunteer coordination, scheduling, communications, data tracking, reporting, and program delivery logistics. The position supports workplace campaign speaker requests, facilitated engagement opportunities, and related engagement events and activities. This position reports to the Program Lead, Engagement Facilitation.This is a temporary full‑time Monday – Friday position (32.625 hours/week, half day on Friday). The term for this role will be July 20 - December 18, 2026.About the role:Support Impact Speaker program activities including collaborating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and match companies and individuals with Impact Speakers.Schedule Community Impact Speakers for workplace campaign events, working with the Portfolio Leads, Workplace Fundraising & the Program Lead, Engagement Facilitation.Support speaker and program evaluation. Action insights from staff and volunteer feedback as needed.Utilize the VMS (volunteer management system) to coordinate volunteer shifts, data,
and automated communications.Submit impact speaker activity data & monthly reports to supervisor & the CRM team (Salesforce), ensuring accuracy of information and timely updates. Data includes activities tracking, organizations, audience size, volunteer hours, and more.Support reimbursement of expenses and honorariums for volunteers using internal processes and policies for approval by the Program Lead, Engagement Facilitation.Event support as needed.Provide back‑up administration and event support for engagement activities and events such as Poverty Simulations, Brain Game, Falling through the Cracks, Make the Month, Cabinet, and Product Drives.Support administration and post‑activity communications for the Days of Caring Program. This includes working cross‑collaboratively with the Program Lead, Engagement Facilitation and Service Hub team to support booked groups by tracking attendance/volunteer hours and sharing photos and surveys in a thank you email to every group post‑event.About you:You possess strong administrative experience, including drafting correspondence, coordinating meetings, maintaining records, and serving as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders. You demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Creative Suite, while experience with Eventbrite, Classy, and Salesforce is considered an asset.You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities,
and the capacity to prioritize competing demands while developing effective action plans. You are a creative and innovative thinker who applies critical thinking to analyze information, solve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement. Adaptable and flexible, you thrive in dynamic environments, effectively managing changing priorities and multiple responsibilities.
