This pivotal role is designed for a strategic accountant who excels at managing complexity across multiple entities and thrives on elevating team performance.



The position will be responsible for financial statement reporting for QFG, serve as the subject matter expert on IFRS, manage the AP team, ensure continued process improvement, and oversee syndicate compliance.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including note disclosures.Ensure monthly consolidation adjustments and entries for QFG are correctly and timely made.Understand the credit facility agreement and maintain and report on required covenants and limits.Act as a subject matter expert on IFRS and provide guidance on all technical accounting matters, including documentation on technical accounting rules.Keep on top of and ensure recent accounting standards are correctly implemented across QFG.Advise on complex accounting matters across the group.Assist in the purchase accounting, valuation and integration of new acquisitions.Enhance and manage customized financial reports in the company's accounting systems.Assist during annual financial audits or other regulatory audits as required.Work with the FP&A team to provide analysis on major changes to the financial results where applicable.Actively look for ways to automate financial statement reporting.Oversee the Corporate AP team, ensuring timely and correct processing of bills,



payments and expense reimbursements.Release payments and ensure proper controls are in place and adhered to.Proactively look for ways to improve processes, including the review and implementation of AI related strategies.Review expense reimbursement tools currently in place and provide guidance on improvement opportunities.Manage the corporate credit card program and processes.Qualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.7+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, with at least 3 years at a senior level; experience in financialinstitutions is an asset.Strong knowledge in IFRS is a must; extensive experience infinancial reporting and consolidation.Proven track record of lifting a team; remains calm under pressure and leads with empathy and clarity.Self-starter and proactive problem solver with keen attention to detail, and excellent organization and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to various stakeholders clearly.CompensationBase salary range: $150,000 - $160,000.The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada).
