Job OverviewWe are looking for aShop Technician - Lead Handto join our Crane Service team in Edmonton, Alberta.Salary Range$55.36 hourlyWhat’s the challenge?As ourLead Hand, you’ll play an important role in helping the Service Supervisor with day‑to‑day planning, organization, and workflow. You’ll take on major crane diagnostics and repairs, be hands‑on with daily shop repairs, and provide top‑quality leadership and service while following company policies and procedures. You’ll also help develop and coach apprentices."Service First" – drive support for external and internal customers with exceptional solutions.Safety Minded – work safely and insist your team follows all safety programs and procedures.Certification – hold a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification and apply this expertise.Experience – versed in diagnostics and repairs on a wide variety of heavy equipment (cranes) from multiple manufacturers, and communicate knowledge clearly.Leadership – build trust with your team and lead fairly and level‑heartedly so techs feel comfortable addressing issues.Keeping Your Cool – work under pressure while maintaining focus on communication and quality service; handle physical demandsand overtime if needed.Mentorship – actively listen and conduct competency analyses of apprentice technicians,



providing on‑the‑job training.Organization – develop personal systems to organize your work and coordinate the techs on your team.What do we expect from you?Experience RequiredRed Seal or Journeyman Technician Certification2–5 years related experienceSolid knowledge of crane equipment systems and repairsGood communication skills with customers, peers, and supervisorsBasic knowledge of computer applicationsCommitted to continuous learningStrong technical background and ability to communicate parts and service informationHealth & Safety Knowledge – OH&S rules and regulations guidelinesEducation RequiredRed Seal Technician certificationMay be asked to work evenings and weekends.Position duties also include the completion of any additional tasks or projects as requested.What’s In It For YouWe’re a growing business in an exciting industry and a family.
