This role supports drilling and exploration programs through geological logging, sampling, data management, and reporting activities.This role contributes to the company’s success by providing accurate geological data that can be relied upon to identify and target areas of interest, leading to future drill programs and potential discovery of large mineral deposits.Job OverviewThe job involves fieldwork during active exploration projects with a rotation‑based schedule of approximately 3 weeks on and 1 week off, subject to change based on program needs, weather, or other logistical constraints.Responsibilities will include reporting directly to the Geologist Project Manager.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct RAP/RC chip logging using XRF.Monitor and maintain geological databases and ensure accurate data entry.Perform QA/QC procedures and sample tracking.Supervise drilling and sampling activities in the field.Perform Optical Televiewer (OTV) data acquisition and support interpretation of structural data.Communicate geological findings and any inconsistencies with technical teams.Prepare daily reports using Fulcrum.Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Geologist Project Manager.Camp ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized camp environment.Assist with wall tent assembly and teardown for efficient mobilization.Share daily chores, including cooking, cleaning,



and securing wood and water.Ensure all camp equipment is functional and well‑maintained.Charge electronic tools and radios daily to ensure workday readiness.Safety and Integrity ResponsibilitiesFollow all company Health and Safety protocols.Report all hazards, incidents, injuries, and non‑conformances.Uphold employee safety rights, including the right to refuse unsafe work.Maintain professionalism in the field, camp, and transit; participate in safety meetings and Emergency Response Plans.Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Represent GroundTruth’s core values of social and environmental responsibility to all stakeholders.Maintain professional conduct on projects and within local communities.Ensure confidentiality and maintain transparent communication with management.Field – Working ConditionsThe position requires work outside in a variety of terrains and weather conditions, including temperatures from -35 °C to +35 °C, dry to humid climates, heavy rainfall, lightning storms, wind, and snow. Terrain can range from rolling hills to steep mountain sides that will be traversed on foot daily.A typical field season runs from mid‑May to late October. Extreme isolation in a wilderness setting provides a unique workplace but also increases risks. Wildlife such as bears, moose, and wolves inhabit the area.Workdays are 12‑hour shifts that run 7 days a week for the duration of the project unless otherwise stated. Shifts typically last 21 days on and 7 days off (excluding travel days),



but changes happen frequently depending on contracts and logistical considerations.Project locations may be accessed by truck, helicopter, boat, fixed‑wing aircraft, or all‑terrain vehicles.Every camp will be provided with a wall tent or tents with similar structures depending on location, satellite internet, and all other camp elements.Employees will work and live in close quarters with the rest of their crew for the duration of the project.Communication outside of and at camp may be limited due to no cellphone service and limited satellite internet.Exploration projects are frequently remote and isolated; transportation between the project and the city may take upwards of 10 hours.Lifting and Physical Requirements – Field ComponentLifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.Repetitive bending.Hiking on uneven or mountainous terrain for extended periods of time.Exposure to cold and heat.Exposure to noise.Gear RequirementField gear provided by GroundTruth Group of Companies must be used strictly for company fieldwork and will be assigned at the beginning of the season. All employees are responsible for the maintenance and care of the gear. Employees must supply appropriate personal gear including work clothes, underlayers, work gloves, full rain gear (jacket and pants), work boots with rigid ankle support, personal camping gear, and a Leatherman or similar multi‑tool knife.Position RequirementsGeology degree (BSc.), Earth Sciences and Environmental procedures.Previous experience in mineral exploration or drilling programs preferred (1–3 years).Experience with RC/RAB is an asset.Strong computer and data management skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Legally entitled to work in Canada.Valid First Aid Standard.#J-18808-Ljbffr
