OverviewLEVEL: HOURLYWAGE: $32.02 Per HourGeneral PurposeThe QC Lab Technician is responsible to learn and perform all lab quality control tests.ResponsibilitiesPerforms moisture, ash, protein, farinograph, bake, falling number, viscosity, starch damage and other related testingGenerate CoA’s (Certificate of Analysis) as required.Make ship/hold decisions including updating related computer programs.Daily computer entry of all results.Maintains a clean and orderly condition of the laboratory.Keeps working area in a clean and orderly condition, which includes issuing and making sure the Master Sanitation Schedule is kept up.Works responsibly throughout shift.Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with other employees and members of the management team.Meets deadlines and completes projects as assigned in a timely manner.Maintains efficient and safe performance in all areas of work.Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety standards.Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
while performing job duties and tasks.Performs all other related duties, including training, relief and product development as required.QualificationsGrade 12 or equivalent including completion of Grade 12 Chemistry.Graduation from a recognized food science program, with training in quality control would be an asset or Completion of Assigned AIB Courses within a 12 month period will be required (failure to complete the assigned courses will result in being removed from the position).An aptitude for and experience with computer applications.Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.Above average interpersonal and communication skills.Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work in stressful situations while demonstrating a qualified and positive attitude when faced with challenges.Available for shift work as well as work on weekends, holidays and call outs as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
