Schedule: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility based on operational needs

Golden Minds Academy is seeking a responsible, dependable, and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. Working alongside our educators, you will help create a safe, welcoming workplace where children feel supported and encouraged to learn, play, and grow.

Collaboration is the key to providing consistent, quality care. We are looking for someone who communicates openly, shares responsibilities, supports colleagues, and takes pride in following through on their commitments. Your reliability and willingness to work as part of a team will be essential to this role.

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will:

- Support educators in delivering engaging activities that encourage children’s learning, creativity, social skills, and independence.
- Help actively supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, daily routines, and transitions.
- Assist with meals, snacks, dressing, toileting or diapering, and rest routines, as appropriate to the children’s ages and needs.
- Help keep classrooms, toys, equipment, and shared spaces clean, organized, and safe.
- Build caring, respectful relationships with children and communicate professionally with families and colleagues.
- Share observations with educators and promptly communicate concerns about children’s safety or well-being.
- Coordinate daily responsibilities with colleagues, contribute to team discussions, and follow agreed plans.

health and safety procedures, and applicable child-care requirements.

We are looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility through punctuality, dependable attendance, and consistent follow-through.
- Enjoys working within a team and willingly helps colleagues when support is needed.
- Communicates clearly, listens carefully, and responds constructively to feedback.
- Is patient, attentive, and respectful when working with children.
- Takes initiative within their responsibilities and knows when to ask for guidance.
- Is willing to learn and adapt to children’s needs and classroom routines.

Previous experience working with children is an asset, but is not required. Experience may include work or volunteering in child-care centres, schools, camps, or other children’s programs. An ECA certificate or relevant early childhood training is also an asset. Candidates must be able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check in accordance with applicable child-care requirements. Valid Standard First Aid certification, including infant and child CPR, as well as immunization record is required before starting work.
