MCHA Campus I (108, 2411 - 4th Street NW) is seeking a professional who is willing to learn about and enhance our Fully Implemented Academic Montessori Program and to join our culturally and educationally diverse team. This is a great position for individuals who want to light up their Montessori soul and are looking for an academic environment to learn and grow in. We have positions for Montessori Assistants in our Casita Program - 19 months up to the age of 3.
We are seeking a child development professional who is seeking a wonderful challenge and experience with a reputable Montessori organization. Successful candidates must be willing to take Montessori courses and workshops.
Candidates need 3 years of experience in a Montessori facility or reputable Early Childhood facility, and have a passion for working with children 19 months to 3 years of age. We are looking for the right individual who is professional, has a strong work ethic, and is willing to make a personal investment in MCHA, Montessori,
and the team through their time and growth. The successful candidates must be coachable, collaborative, hardworking, and invested in the MCHA vision.
Qualifications:
- Obtain the necessary Montessori certifications to fulfil the requirements of a position with MCHA.
- Level 2 working to achieve Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification in Alberta
- 3 years of classroom experience
- Current First Aid certification
- Current and valid Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging Montessori-based lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 19 months to 3 years.
- Foster a nurturing and safe classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about children's progress and needs.
- Maintain First Aid Certification and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and support children with diverse needs.
- Must be willing to work an 8-hour rotating shift. Shifts will change every Monday
- Flexibility to attend after-hours functions such as team meetings, parent nights, etc.
- Ability to work with and support the Montessorian
- Strong planning skills
- Ability to follow the child

- Able to work an 8-hour rotating shift between 7am and 6pm, schedule rotations are every week. We do not offer any permanent shifts.
