Responsibilities
- Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and enclosure/panel fabrication drawings with bill-of-materials.
- 3-5 years minimum experience wiring electrical control panels, electrical system integration.
- Experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical controls.
- Ability to understand and work to written and verbal technical instructions.
- Familiar with use of basic hand tools such as tape measures, drills, saws,hammers.
- Maintain high standards of work quality.
- Excellent communication/listening skills both verbal & written.
- Keeps work area clean and organized to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area
- Record work order production and labor time and payroll hours in a timely manner.
- Participates in departmental projects, as needed.
- Must be able to work independent and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform various electrical assembly duties on the equipment by following instructions and utilizing schematics.
- Build, assemble and install electrical controls onto truck bodies and equipment.
- Cuts, strips, and mounts wires to connect electrical units.
- Fit, drill, and assemble junction boxes, panels.
- Test and troubleshoot to repair electrical circuits.
- Use hand and power tools properly and safely.
- QA sign-off of properly completed tasks.
- Track job time and complete daily timecards.
- Service projects, repairs and other duties as requested by shop foreman.
