Job Overview

AB Academy is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Educational Assistants to join our team. We are currently hiring for two full-time positions:

- Primary Educational Assistant (JK–Grade 2)
- Elementary Educational Assistant (Grades 3–5)

The successful candidates will work closely with classroom teachers to support student learning and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities include assisting individual students, supporting small-group instruction, reinforcing classroom learning, and promoting students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support classroom teachers in delivering daily instructional activities and classroom routines.
- Assist individual students and small groups with academic learning.
- Reinforce literacy, numeracy, and other classroom learning through teacher-directed activities.
- Support students with diverse learning needs while encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning habits.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Prepare classroom materials and learning resources as directed by the teacher.
- Assist with classroom supervision, transitions, and school activities.
- Observe student progress and communicate relevant information to the classroom teacher.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional learning opportunities.
- Support the mission, values, and educational philosophy of the school.

Qualifications
- Educational Assistant diploma,



Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma, or post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and families.
- Patient, caring, dependable, and committed to supporting student success.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Commitment to supporting the mission, values, and educational philosophy of the school.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
