Position Overview

We are seeking an intrinsically motivated, detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our pre-construction team in a Remote Hybrid capacity. In this role, you will communicate and respond promptly to E&I; pricing requests, review all RFQ documents (including but not limited to Scope of Work, drawings, and specifications), and prepare accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for electrical projects.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

· Plan Analysis: Review and respond promptly to initial pricing requests; comprehensively review Scope of Work, drawings, specifications, and project details.

· Take-Offs: Quantify material and labor requirements efficiently using Accubid estimating software.

· Vendor Coordination: Send out detailed material pricing requests to suppliers with prompt due dates. Receive, review, and compile quotes from suppliers to determine precise material costs.

· Proposal Creation: Enter material and labor costs into closeout documents, prepare accurate estimates, and compile relevant proposal documents aligned with each client request.

· Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks, design gaps, and value-engineering/cost-saving opportunities leading up to the bid due date.

· Communication & Follow-up: Work alongside the Operations Manager to track active bids and follow up with clients on additional needs as projects progress towards award.

· Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager and our execution team to seamlessly hand over relevant bid information at all stages of a project when required.

Qualifications & Skills

· Education/Experience:



Must have Journeyman Electrician ticket, and Industrial skid/Modular electrical experience. Estimating experience is a bonus but not a requirement to apply.

· Growth Mindset: Valuable person, positive attitude, eager to learn, hardworking, and highly cooperative in a collaborative team environment.

· Strong Organizational Skills: Good with scheduling daily/weekly tasks with the ability to manage multiple requests and meet strict deadlines without sacrificing quality.

· Field Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical projects/systems, material requirements, and associated electrical codes and standards.

· Technical Skills: Proficient mathematical and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel. The position will involve working with Accubid estimating software and other digital takeoff tools.

· Communication: Clear, professional, and active verbal and written communication with clients and our internal Project team.
