VA Electrical Contracting Inc. is an electrical contracting company that does electrical work for Commercial Retail Grocery Stores in the Greater Toronto Area, Durham Region, and just outside of Toronto. We are seeking motivated, experienced, hardworking and energetic individuals to join our team.

We are currently seeking a Pre-Apprentice Electrical/Labour Worker to join our team. This is a great prospect for someone looking to start a career in the electrical trade, gain hands-on experience, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

- Pick up electrical materials, equipment, tools, and supplies from electrical wholesalers, suppliers, and other vendors.
- Deliver materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to various job sites throughout the GTA, Durham Region, and surrounding areas.
- Prepare and organize materials required for upcoming projects and service calls.
- Review material lists and assist with gathering, sorting, and staging materials for electricians before they leave for job sites.
- Load and unload company vehicles, materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure job-site material orders are complete and properly organized before delivery.
- Assist with receiving incoming material deliveries and verifying materials against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Complete general shop, warehouse, yard, and job-site labour duties as required.




- Perform other related duties to support the electrical team and daily company operations.

Qualifications:

- Must have successfully completed a recognized Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program or Level 1 Electrical Apprenticeship training.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Able to lift and move materials, tools, and equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to continue learning about electrical materials, tools, and construction practices.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to gain experience within an electrical contracting company and develop the practical skills and commercial knowledge required to eventually pursue an electrical apprenticeship. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
