As our Data Team Lead, you'll build a up-to-date data ecosystem that drives innovation and empowers decision‐making across the organization, shaping how data is architected, engineered, and governed. You'll leverage cutting‐edge tools like Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility, and enabling data‐driven decision‐making.Key ResponsibilitiesData ArchitectureDefine and maintain the enterprise data architecture framework, including data models, pipelines, and storage solutions.Ensure scalability, performance, and security of data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric.Data EngineeringLead the design and development of data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.Implement best practices for CI/CD, medallion architecture, and real‐time analytics using Fabric components (Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Power BI).Data GovernanceEstablish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage, classification, and compliance management.Drive initiatives for data quality, stewardship,
and ownership across business units.Leadership & CollaborationManage and mentor an internal data team while using externals where necessary.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to align data strategy with business goals.Act as a data culture advocate, promoting best practices and continuous improvement while communicating with leadership and end users.Required Skills & QualificationsProven experience in data architecture, data engineering, and data governance roles.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Data Activator, Power BI) and Microsoft Purview (Data Map, Unified Catalog, Compliance Manager).Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration.Familiarity with security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management in data environments.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AI‐driven analytics and Copilot integration in Microsoft Fabric.Certifications in Microsoft Fabric, Purview, or related data governance frameworks.Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and hybrid data architectures.Additional InformationWe're an equal‐opportunity employer committed to inclusive, barrier‐free recruitment and selection processes, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
