S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring and Test Preparation Services is looking for qualified elementary school teachers or experienced educators to join our K-8 tutoring team in Orillia, Ontario and the surrounding area.

This is an opportunity for an educator who enjoys working one-on-one with students and wants to build consistent, long-term teaching relationships outside of the traditional classroom.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for one Primary/Junior educator and one Junior/Intermediate teacher to tutor students in Grades 1–8 in Orillia and the surrounding area.

Tutoring needs may include

- Mathematics
- Reading and writing
- Test preparation
- Study skills and organization

We take care of the administration so you can concentrate on teaching. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have:

- Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate teaching qualifications
- B.Ed. and/or OCT certification
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for weekday evening tutoring

Additional Qualifications (AQs) are considered an asset.

A Commitment to Consistency

Our families are looking for tutors who will become a dependable part of their child's academic support.

Tutors are expected to

- Work a minimum of 4 hours per week
- Be available primarily Monday–Friday, 4:00–8:00 PM
- Commit to working with S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring for 12 months
- Maintain reliable weekly attendance
- Communicate professionally with students and families

This position is best suited to educators looking for ongoing, meaningful part-time teaching work, rather than a short-term or casual tutoring position. Who May Be Interested?
