About the Role

GALE is looking for a Senior Associate, Email Developer to join its MarTech team in Toronto. This is a temporary, hands-on position focused on building the email and cross-channel experiences that power campaigns for some of the world’s most recognized brands. You’ll partner closely with creative and platform teams to code, QA, and refine email and cross-channel content using tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Braze, and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).

What You'll Do

- Utilize HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices to create and code interactive experiences for email
- Lead the development and modification of complex email templates and existing campaigns
- Build and maintain dynamic, personalized email content using Liquid and AMPscript across supported platforms
- Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and other performance issues
- Ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices
- Apply and champion best practices in email development, email compliance regulations,



and accessibility
- Build across multiple marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Adobe Journey Optimizer) to create push notifications, in-app messages, and other cross-channel messaging in addition to email
- Proactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency
- Bring hands-on experience with email development frameworks and help evaluate new tools/frameworks
- Partner closely with the creative team to perform feasibility analysis and provide strategic recommendations
- Stay ahead of developments in the email and cross-channel marketing domain

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 5+ years of email marketing experience, preferably in a consumer environment (B2C)
- Expert-level proficiency in HTML, with deep experience specifically in HTML emails
- Proficiency in Liquid and AMPscript for building dynamic, personalized content
- Proven ability to professionally interact with and influence key stakeholders throughout the development process
- Strong coding, proofing, testing, and troubleshooting expertise
- Solid understanding of basic database structures
- Working knowledge of global anti-spam trends and legislation (e.g., CASL, CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
- Strong understanding of the Email Life Cycle
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
- Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and/or Braze is a plus

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target compensation for this role is $50.00 to $60.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, qualifications, job performance, level of experience, location, and business needs.
