We are looking for an

ENERGY, UTILITIES & RISKS ENGINEER In this position you will directly report to your manager in Spain, who manages the Center of Excellence Energy, Utilities & Risks within Campofrio Food Group.

Your Mission

You are responsible for the Centre of Excellence of Energy, utilities & risks ensuring homogenization of policies, procedures, and KPIs, sharing best practices among plants and supporting technical learnings. Seek for new opportunities and projects (internal and external watching) in terms of utilities, energy and risks for the Group’s sites to be defined and deployed, taking care of key principles: safety, quality, service, timing and budget.

Strategy, Standards & Budget

- Draft utilities, energy and risks global strategy and establish KPIs, objectives and roadmap, gathering plant and Europe HQ exceptions, proposing solutions and, if necessary, aligning strategy with other inputs from CFG/Sigma.
- Manage the definition and distribution of CFG power facilities within the production plants.
- Analysis and homogenization of CFG politics and procedures regarding Utilities, energy and risks.
- Collaborate in crisis management situations, supporting protocol activation, executing corrective actions and participating in post-crisis analysis from the utilities point of view.
- Responsible of estimating utilities needs according to compromised and expected sales and participate in capacity assessment.
- Manage the development of the AOP of the plants´ power consumptions, with a local input but with a homogeneous and standardized approach,
- Lead and coordinate the interaction with utilities suppliers and carry out industry benchmarking.
- Support breakthrough and digitalization areas with the needed inputs and restrictions from the utilities point of view.
- Aggregate engineering utilities; energy and risk related CAPEX providing input to Industrial Strategy to close annual CAPEX.

Production and Operations

- Define power saving and consciousness-raising projects within the plants guarantying that plants meet existing regulations.
- Provide support during the ramp-up processes and ensure the handover at plant level in collaboration with industrial engineers.
- Participate in the design and review of operations performance measurement (e.g. scorecards and KPIs)



and reporting standards, policies and guidelines related to utilities (e.g. energy consumption).
- Participate in the development & review of sourcing selection standards, policies, guidelines and KPIs and collaborate in the process of supplier selection & contract term definition.
- Homogenize plants´ power consumptions approach.
- Monitor Energy and Utilities KPIs to benchmark between plants.
- Review machinery and utilities performance to identify improvement areas and best practices.
- Create contingency plans and standard actions to ensure operations continuity.
- Act as a Centre of Excellence, gathering all best practices and lessons learned from the utilities, energy and risks management point of view, ensuring knowledge sharing and exportation of the suitable topics.

Product and process improvement

- Support innovation function with proper feedback, restrictions and opportunities from the utilities angle.
- Develop and review industrial process incremental change framework, collecting improvements opportunities of Europe HQ and proposing approval and resources allocation for utilities services assurance.

Safety & Health, Security, Quality and Environment

- Lead and monitor external inspection visits and audits of the insurance companies, evaluating risks to implement their advise, taking security precautions and minimizing risks, maintaining the costs of the insurance premiums
- Check that all the energy-related and risk management investment projects correspond to the priority and strategic typology and are deployed correctly.
- Participate in the definition & review of Safety & Health and Quality & Environment standards, policies, guidelines and KPIs specifying possible hazards of current machinery and utilities infrastructure. Collaborate in the improvement opportunities identification and audit.
- Collaborate in the design & review of environmental and security standards, policies, guidelines and KPIs. Support manufacturing, facility environmental controls, improvement opportunities design and plant breaches root cause analysis derived from utilities.

People Management

- Support Industrial Engineering and its teams, establishing responsibilities and ensuring the information and communication flow for energy, utilities and risks projects deployment.
- Support Integrated Operations Academy missing skills identification and recruiting needs for Engineering function.




- Collaborate in the design and development for Blue Collars and White Collar trainings regarding utilities and installations, participating in the training analysis regarding this matter. In case of White Collars support the execution of those trainings.

External representation

- Participate actively in forums and communities of experts devoted to utilities, energy and risks optimization.
- Coordinate with the suitable administrations the fulfilment of all compliance topics derived from utilities applicable law.

Qualifications

Your Profile

Required technical skillset

- Engineering Degree and / or with operations equivalent experience.
- Deep knowledge of food industry, specially in processed meat.
- Proven expertise with machinery / equipment / installations definition and implementation.
- Expertise and technical knowledge for layout design and advanced technical drawing with the suitable IT tools. (Acad)
- Proven energy / utilities /risks expertise for industrial environments.
- Affinity with Siemens WinCC qualified scada, PLC programs
- Present aptitude to create new ways of combining operations with new technologies, systems and sources of energy.
- Strong ability to communicate with different level’s profiles and promote innovation / change in the company, among different areas.
- Have experience in designing, deploying and controlling projects.
- Be able to set a vision for long term success at area business level and implement respective plans.
- Fluent in English.

Required soft skillset

- Foster change and project management at all levels of the organization for new solutions implementation.
- Advanced analytic capabilities in order to investigate and identify utilities opportunities based on facts and figures and show results of the new developments.
- Strong orientation to knowledge creation, collaboration, coaching and ideas sharing.
- Have experience of building relationships with stakeholders (vendors, other players of the market, universities…), and taking strategy decisions affecting profitability and sustainability of the company.
- Have the adaptability and ability to work autonomously and be able to manage / lead people and workload in the different initiatives.

- Open minded approach to be close to the market to learn the state of the art solutions in place or in progress.
- Willingness to travel (between The Netherlands and Belgium)
