Responsibilities
- follow the routine of the classroom. Assist the teaching staff with programmed activites and routines
- support children is ISP plans and follow the lead of a resource Consultant.
- Support the Classroom teachers in developing an inclusive workplace
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children.
- Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom
- Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
- Support children in the development of there self-help skills and independence.
- Assess the abilities, interests,
and needs of children and discuss progress or challenges with parents and other staff members
Successful candidates
- Experience with ASD and ADHD an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children, parents and other team members.
- Enjoy a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience planning and implementing programs
- A current Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector
- Current First AID CPR
- Available to work 7-9 and 245-545 Monday - Friday
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time Pay: From $20.02 per hour
