This role leads all plant finance and accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely decision support to Operations. This role also owns the month-end close and forecasting process, drives cost/working-capital performance, and partners with plant leadership to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Leading month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls

Owning standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis

Partnering with Operations on labour, scrap, efficiency, materials, freight, and overhead performance

Leading budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, and longer-range financial modelling

Driving working capital, cash planning, and capital investment analysis

Developing and leading a plant finance team





Supporting compliance, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA (or equivalent) designation

7-10+ years of experience in manufacturing finance/accounting

Proven ownership of close, costing, and plant performance reporting

Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and internal controls

Advanced Excel

ERP/MRP experience required

Demonstrated ability to lead a team, influence cross-functional leaders, and drive process improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Solid communication skills
