We're looking for an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to lead our workplace safety programs and help build a strong culture of safety throughout our operations.

What You'll Do

As our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our health and safety management system while ensuring compliance with provincial legislation, customer requirements, and company standards.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading the Health and Safety Management System and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting a positive safety culture through coaching, training, and employee engagement
- Conducting workplace inspections, hazard assessments, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Leading investigations involving workplace injuries, near misses, property damage, and environmental incidents
- Developing corrective and preventive action plans
- Coordinating the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), meetings, inspections, and documentation
- Monitoring safety KPIs and reporting results to leadership
- Managing contractor safety programs and compliance requirements
- Administering contractor platforms including Avetta, Intelex, EcoVadis, and customer safety systems
- Maintaining health and safety records, policies, procedures, and training documentation
- Supporting WSIB claims management and return-to-work programs
- Developing emergency response plans and ensuring emergency equipment is maintained




- Supporting Ministry of Labour inspections and customer audits
- Working closely with Operations to improve warehouse safety, traffic management, ergonomics, and material handling practices
- Supporting ISO management systems and continuous improvement projects

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma
- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of Health and Safety experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, automotive, or industrial operations
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- WHMIS
- Hazard Identification
- Risk Assessment
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Machine Guarding
- Ergonomics
- Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience in maintaining safety documentation and employee training records

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational health & safety, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Operations, or a related field
- CRSP, CHSC, or other recognized Health & Safety designations
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or warehouse operations
- Experience with ISO Management Systems
- Experience with contractor management systems such as Avetta, Intelex, or EcoVadis
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement methodologies

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
