Under the direction of the Foreman, the Equipment Operator II operates and maintains both heavy and light equipment to support the repair and maintenance of municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, pathways, parks, and signage. The position operates equipment such as motor graders, front-end loaders, sanding/plow trucks, and snow blowers, while assisting in the delivery of essential public works services throughout the municipality.
The Equipment
Operator II may also lead or coordinate small projects and work assignments of limited scope.
This position is part of the Collective Bargaining Unit, CUPE Local 987, and is governed by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective agreement and any subsequent amendments.
