We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various types of equipment. Class 1 driver is an asset but not a deal breaker. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and protected operation of equipment on construction and industrial sites.
The Equipment
Operator will be responsible for performing tasks that require precision and attention to detail while adhering to safety protocols, as well as regular maintenance and cleaning. We are essentially looking for somebody with experience in water, sewer and septic tank replacement. Some landscaping, equipment hauling, material hauling as well. and unfortunately some hands on out of machine work…
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers and other equipment as necessary.
- Execute tasks such as digging along side water mains, houses, gas lines, landscaping, etc.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Valid commercial driving license preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
