This position involves supporting payroll operations, ensuring compliance with Canadian and U.S. regulations, and collaborating across teams to deliver accurate payroll and tax-related services.Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr– $26.88/hrResponsibilitiesBalance all year-end tax slips and complete government filingsSupport expatriate and globally mobile employees' payroll needsParticipate in internal and external payroll auditsProvide customized payroll and year-end tax slip support for executive leadersManage end-to-end payroll processes for the Board of DirectorsReview, prepare, and reconcile POIs as neededCorrect taxes from the Retiree Demographic report and US Tax Data QueryRespond to employee inquiries via ServiceNow casesEnsure integrity and accuracy of Workday HR/Payroll data through testing and validationAssist in preparing manual and amended tax slipsSupport payroll accounting for year-end reportingRecommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyManage payroll adjustments and resolve discrepancies with business partnersProcess quarterly Director Fees payroll, off-cycle payments,
and EIB data loadsHandle bi-weekly cheque reversals and run Pier/Variance reports to correct data errorsManage daily administrative functions for expatriate payroll and shadow payroll processingBalance payroll tax slip data and ensure timely resolution of inquiriesReview CRA and Revenu Quebec PIER reports for accuracyPerform other related tasks as requiredDesired Skill-SetWorking knowledge of Workday reporting and HR/Payroll modulesMinimum 3 years of expatriate payroll experienceStrong knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and U.S. payroll regulations (CRA, Revenu Quebec, IRS)Experience with report reconciliation principlesAdvanced Excel skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly analytical with solid attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines and deliver accurate workNice to HavePayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Designation or working towards certificationExperience working within a large organizationPrevious banking industry experienceBeachHead is an equal opportunity agency and employer.
