THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL TRUCK DRIVING JOB.

We are looking for seasoned professional drivers who have experience doing local, multi-stop deliveries where the driver is responsible for physically delivering the product.

If your background is primarily long-haul, dock-to-dock or terminal-to-terminal this is likely not the position for you.

If you have spent years doing restaurant, foodservice, produce, beverage, LTL or other hands-on local deliveries, we want to hear from you.

WHAT MAKES THIS JOB DIFFERENT?

At Bondi, our drivers don't simply pull up to a loading dock and wait for someone else to unload the truck.

You deliver the product.

Our customers include restaurants, hotels, country clubs and other foodservice operations throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario.

A typical day involves

- Driving a 20' or larger straight truck
- Multiple customer stops throughout the day
- Getting in and out of the truck repeatedly
- Moving product from the truck to the customer's receiving area
- Using a dolly and other delivery equipment
- Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling product
- Navigating stairs, kitchens, loading areas and tight delivery locations
- Providing professional customer service at every stop
- Maintaining an organized and safe truck
- Completing required paperwork and delivery documentation

The driving is only one part of the job. THE PHYSICAL SIDE IS A CORE REQUIREMENT.

This position involves repetitive manual material handling throughout the shift.

If you are looking for a job where you spend most of the day sitting behind the wheel, this is not it.

If you have successfully performed physically demanding delivery work for years and understand what local foodservice delivery involves, you will fit in much better here.

WHO WE WANT

We are looking for experienced professional drivers—not entry-level delivery drivers.

Our ideal candidate:

✓5+ years of professional local delivery experience

✓ DZ licence strongly preferred

✓ G licence considered with extensive straight-truck experience

✓ Previous hand-bombing / hand-delivery experience

✓ Experience making multiple deliveries per day





✓ Experience delivering to restaurants, hotels, foodservice, grocery, beverage or similar customers

✓ Experience operating 20'+ straight trucks

✓ Strong knowledge of the GTA and Southern Ontario

✓ Safe driving history

✓ Reliable attendance and punctuality

✓ Available to work up to 6 days per week, including weekends, based on business needs

✓ Available for early start times, including shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM

✓ Comfortable working independently

✓ Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position

✓ Professional attitude and customer-service skills

WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY

We want to be very clear about the type of experience we are looking for.

This is probably not the right job for you if your experience is primarily:

- Long-haul trucking
- Highway-only driving
- Dock-to-dock freight
- Terminal-to-terminal transportation
- Uber / rideshare
- Amazon-style parcel delivery
- Courier work involving small packages
- Driving jobs where someone else handles the unloading
- Jobs where physical delivery is only an occasional responsibility

We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to drive a truck. We are looking for someone who knows how to drive a truck AND deliver product.

DZ/AZ DRIVERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY A DZ or AZ licence is a major asset, particularly for candidates with several years of local delivery experience.

However, we will consider experienced G-class drivers who can demonstrate significant experience operating larger straight trucks and performing hands-on deliveries.

Quality of experience matters more to us than simply holding a licence.

You will be expected to work efficiently while maintaining safe work practices and proper lifting/material-handling techniques. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term career, not simply a job for a few months.

COMPENSATION

Starting at $25.00/hour

Opportunities for increased compensation based on experience and successful completion of probation.

DZ/AZ + significant foodservice/hand-delivery experience is highly valued.

Full-time, permanent position.
