Villaggio Ristorante is an established upscale Italian restaurant located in the heart of Kleinburg. We are actively hiring an experienced Line Cook or Chef de Partie to join our qualified kitchen team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the standards and pace of a quality restaurant kitchen, and works well as part of a team. The successful candidate will have strong cooking fundamentals and experience working with fresh ingredients in an Italian, fine dining, hotel, or comparable high volume restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining workplace.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to streamline kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring all kitchen tools and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders while upholding excellent food service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs for restocking to ensure smooth kitchen operations.




- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and maintaining a positive attitude.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment as a line cook or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and meal preparation methods.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving standards and customer service expectations.
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety practices and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Previous experience in the food industry with a focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
