As a Surface Land Administrator, your expertise is the foundation of successful project delivery. You are a professional who completely commands the regulatory and legislative landscapes—navigating surface land rights seamlessly from initial planning onward.
In this role, you will act as a pivotal connector, collaborating with diverse stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, and dynamic client project teams. Your work will directly support critical land acquisitions, negotiations, and administration across a vast portfolio of projects, including pipelines, drilling operations, well site rights-of-way, powerlines, road easements, and facility developments.

Core Responsibilities
· Document Preparation: Draft and process Surface Leases, Right-of-Way Agreements, and all supporting land documentation.
· Public Lands & Compliance: Prepare and manage Public Land applications and seamlessly execute Directive 56 notifications.
· Agreement Management: Proactively identify, review, and manage third-party agreements.
· Auditing & Tracking: Assemble final packages and perform meticulous audits to ensure compliance; track and document stakeholder consultations conducted by field Land Agents.
· Industry Registrations: Perform accurate searches and registrations across SPIN, EDS, ISC, and ILRS systems as required.
· Data & File Management: Generate and maintain flawless electronic and hard-copy land files while keeping the Land Management database updated with accurate project reports.
· Team Collaboration: Provide reliable, high-level administrative support to Land Managers, Project Coordinators, Administrators, and Land Agents.
What You Bring
· Proven Experience: 3 to 5 years of recent, hands-on Surface Land Administration experience specifically within Alberta and Saskatchewan.
· Education & Knowledge: A Land Administration Certificate is preferred, though we welcome candidates with solid equivalent working knowledge of surface land practices, procedures, and documentation.
· Active Credentials: Must hold a valid Commissioner for Oaths designation for both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
· Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to easily adapt to land management systems.
