We are looking for a highly motivated Jr. Building Operator to join our Operations team at Richmond‑Adelaide Centre in Toronto. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. With a customer service focused mindset, you will also ensure all tenant and operation teams’ requests are completed in a timely manner.This posting is for an existing vacancy.ResponsibilitiesMonitoring the day‑to‑day operations/repairs of the complex’s HVAC equipment (including pumps, motors, fans, Variable speed drives, compressors, etc.), Life Safety systems, building automation systems and lighting systemsWater treatment program, regular water tests and addition of chemicalsPreventative maintenance on all building and HVAC equipment including small plumbing repairs and drain clearingTimely responses/resolutions of all tenant requests logged through 310‑MAXX, and ensuring there is on‑going communication with tenants regarding any mechanical/HVAC issuesLiaising with service providers and contractorsReviewing and monitoring contracted work to ensure everything is being performed in safe manner, as well as compliant with building standardsDeveloping energy priorities for building systems to keep in line with Oxford’s sustainability practices and objectives, including daily energy management of HVAC and lighting systemsGeneral maintenance and other duties as requestedQualifications1+ year of technical and mechanical building operations experienceKnowledge and experience operating HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical,
BAS, FAS and Life Safety Systems (preferably in office/retail)Building Environmental Systems (BES) Certification Class I completed or in‑progressBOMI, SMT or SMA an asset but not requiredSkills in blueprint reading, as applied to technical areasExceptional skills in communication, organization, customer service, interpersonal and time managementThe ability to work with minimal supervision8hr shift work including Monday to Saturday (12pm‑8pm).
