An eligibility list may be created for future regular or term positions and will remain in effect for 12 months.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the assigned Coordinator, the Family Support Worker 2 provides a range of services that contribute to improving family functioning, parental capacity and child safety and well being.Participates in the development andimplementation of goal‑oriented interventions to children and their families or to children in care.Teaches parenting skills, age‑appropriate life skills, budgeting, nutrition, and household management.Advocates for and assists clients with access to community resources.Supervises family visits for children in care and escorts children and/or their parents to scheduled appointments.QualificationsEssentialGrade twelve plus 1 year related course work plus one year relevant experience in a related position OR equivalent combination of education and 3 years relevant experience in a related position.Experience working with children and families in a supportive manner.Excellent written communication skills including the ability to prepare written documents in accordance with established regulations and guidelines.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and establish working relationships with various stakeholders,
