Monarch Feeders is a family owned and operated feedlot and farm currently seeking a feedlot herdsperson(s) for immediate full time employment.
Location
- 20 mins NW of Lethbridge, 10 SW of Nobleford
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with livestock is preferred, but not required
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment is required
- Previous experience operating equipment(skid steer, loader, farm tractors) is a benefit
- Valid drivers license is required
Responsibilities
- Walking feedlot pens and diagnosing cattle that require pulling, care and treatment of cattle
- Processing barn duties such as but not limited to - implanting, vaccinating and ultra sounding
- Assisting with shipping and receiving of cattle
- Occasional general feedlot maintenance
- Occasional farming duties/equipment operation
Schedule
- Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm with occasional changes to schedule based on shipping and farming
- Weekends - every 3rd weekend rotation
Wages
- Wages are based on experience and performance
- Overtime pay for Sundays and holidays
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00-$32.00 per hour
