Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a Field Equipment Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of equipment such as Generators, Light Towers, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts and Telehandlers at a customer site. This is a full-time position for a mechanically inclined professional who thrives working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys solving problems in a remote environment.

What you will do...

- Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery at various job sites
- Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site




- Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
- Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
- Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
- Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
- Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Build positive relationships with customers

Requirements

- Must have Journeyman Mechanic (Off Road) Certificate or Red Seal in HET.
- Ability to pass a Federal Criminal Background Check
- At least 3-years’ hands on experience working on Aerial Equipment and Generators.
- Valid Class 5 license.
- A clean and recent driver’s abstract will be required.
- All employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and alcohol screening.
- According to site regulations, all candidates must be clean shaven.

Schedule and Compensation
- $60-62 per hour
- $1,500/month living allowance provided until camp accommodation becomes available,



at which time the allowance will cease.
- 7 Days On / 7 Days Off rotation
- 12 hours per day
- 84 hours per rotation
- Overtime is only calculated once you work past your 7 days or more than 12 hours in a day.
