ActiveNest is looking for an energetic and reliable Fitness Coach to lead semi-private and small-group strength and conditioning classes. We're looking for someone who can coach different fitness levels, create a positive training environment, and provide individual attention while managing multiple clients at once.
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to take on additional classes as our membership grows.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead semi-private and small-group fitness classes
- Coach proper exercise technique, form, and safety
- Modify exercises based on clients' fitness levels and limitations
- Keep sessions structured, energetic, and on schedule
- Provide individual coaching and corrections within a group setting
- Set up and organize equipment before and after classes
- Build positive relationships with members and help with member retention
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming training environment
Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer or recognized fitness certification
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Experience with strength training and functional fitness
- Comfortable coaching multiple clients simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to demonstrate and clearly explain exercises
- Group or semi-private coaching experience is an asset
- Kinesiology/fitness education is an asset but not required
Compensation $25–$35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Potential for additional hours as classes and membership grow.
